Kolkata: Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari distributed financial assistance, provided by Indian Oil Petronas Private Limited (IPPL), to victims and families affected by the June 30 fire in Haldia.
An official statement said, “CM Suvendu Adhikari’s distribution of the financial assistance marks an important step in extending support to the families affected by the incident. The assistance from IPPL is intended to provide immediate financial relief to those who suffered loss and injury.”
IPPL said the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation and no premature conclusions should be drawn on responsibility or liability. “IPPL has reiterated its commitment to standing by the affected families and extending all necessary assistance while cooperating with the govt and regulatory authorities in the investigation.”
