No dispute about land status of Lux Cozi grp’s Dankuni project, says comm secy

Kolkata: State commerce and industry secretary Vandana Yadav clarified on Friday that there was no dispute about the land status of Lux Cozi group’s Rs 600-crore project in Dankuni, the first one to be inaugurated by Suvendu Adhikari after taking over as CM.
There has been controversy about the status of land and environment clearance for the project, the foundation ceremony for which was held on July 11.
Yadav said the project is on 11 acres and land conversion began from 2013. The last conversion was done last Dec.
Lux Cozi group chairman Ashok Todi said they had another 3.6 acres of land adjacent to this one, but it was not part of the announced project. “The announced project will be completed in 30 months,” he said.
