TIPRA Motha MLAs Skip Party Meet, Attend Tripura CM Strategy Session

Agartala: BJP ally TIPRA Motha suffered a setback in Tripura after forest minister Animesh Debbarma and MLA Chitta Debbarma opted out of a party meeting and dinner organised by party chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma on Wednesday, and instead attended a strategy meet with CM Manik Saha.
The CM’s meeting, held ahead of the three-day monsoon session starting Thursday, included alliance MLAs from BJP, TIPRA Motha and IPFT to plan the floor strategy against the opposition. Pradyot held a parallel gathering for Motha MLAs, where the absence of the two fuelled speculation.
