• Jadavpur University hosts special lecture on innovative drug formulation technology

  • KOLKATA: The Department of Chemistry, Jadavpur University organized a Special Lecture under the International and National Networking and Collaboration Program, RUSA 2.0 on 31st August 2026 at the Departmental Auditorium, Jadavpur University.

    The distinguished speaker for the programme was Prof. Sanjib Senapati, Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), Chennai. Prof. Senapati delivered an insightful lecture entitled “Reinventing Drug Formulation Technology for Improved Onset of Action and Lower Dose Requirements.”

    During his lecture, Prof. Senapati discussed recent advances and innovative approaches in drug formulation technology, with particular emphasis on strategies for achieving faster therapeutic action while reducing the required dosage. His presentation provided valuable insights into the interdisciplinary aspects of modern drug delivery and formulation science.

    The programme was attended by Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, Research Scholars, and faculty members of the Department of Chemistry. The event also witnessed active participation from faculty members of Life Sciences and related disciplines, highlighting the interdisciplinary significance of the topic.

    The lecture provided an excellent platform for academic interaction and knowledge exchange among students, researchers, and faculty members from different disciplines. An engaging interaction and discussion followed the lecture, allowing participants to exchange ideas and explore potential areas of academic and research collaboration.
