Decomposed body found in Sarsuna Jheel
Times of India | 12 September 2026Locals spotted the body floating in the morning and alerted police. Some residents claimed the man’s feet were tied, but senior officers denied this. Police and forensic officials reached the spot, secured the area and recovered the body, which investigators said appeared to have been in the water for a long time.
The identity of the deceased remains unknown. Police have not ruled out foul play and have begun an investigation. The body was sent for postmortem to determine the time and cause of death.
