Cong netas grilled over Baba protest, fresh FIR filed

“We were interrogated for one and a half hours. An assistant commissioner and several officers of Bhowanipore Police Station interrogated us,” Chatterjee said. “They asked me why I hurt some people’s sentiments. When I asked them whether they think that what Bageshwar Baba said did not hurt sentiments of crores of Bengalis, they changed the subject,” he said.
Congress supporters protested outside the police station as the netas responded to the summons, while BJP supporters also gathered, condemning the alleged insult to Bageshwar Baba. Chatterjee alleged BJP supporters harassed them outside the station. Police denied the allegation, saying they were safely escorted out.
Meanwhile, Entally police registered a case against a digital creator over alleged derogatory remarks against Suvendu Adhikari and Shastri on YouTube.
