Kolkata: Kolkata Police is set to open its 10th division — Bhangar — on Monday.
Lalbazar on Saturday completed postings for the new division, which will start with four police stations, each to have 34 constables. Saikat Ghosh, DC of 4th Battalion, will be the new DC and detective department’s Susanta Mondal the new OC. Amit Kumar Chatterjee, additional OC at Park Street PS, will be the Uttar Kashipur PS OC, SCO’s Sunil Debnath the new OC of Chandaneswar PS, Sarfaraz Ahmed and additional OC of Jorabagan the OC at Polerhat.
The Bhangar Traffic Guard will also start on Monday.Additional OC, Southwest, Middya Imamuddin is the OC of this guard. tnn
