Kolkata: Following a high court order, the BMC on Tuesday sent a team to demolish an illegal construction run by a club at Nayapatti area in BMC Ward 28 but the razing could not be carried out and civic officials had to return following protest from locals.
“A team of engineers was sent to conduct the demolition, following a court directive, but there was a strong agitation by locals and the demolitioncould not be done.A report will be sent to the court,” said a BMC official. TNN
