• 3 govt hosps bag national certification

  • Kolkata: Two state run teaching hospitals have bagged national certification for quality in maternal care and labour room practices along with quality care in paediatric medical care while the third one has got certification for paediatric care. While LaQshya is programme aimed at reducing preventable maternal and newborn mortality, MusQan is aimed at providing high quality, safe and child friendly services at public healthcare facilities.

    Dr BC Roy PG Institute of Paediatric Sciences has got MusQan certification.

    Scoring 96% and 92% in MusQan and LaQshya, respectively, RG Kar has bagged two certifications. NRS has scored 97% overall taking into account all yardsticks under MusQan while it scored 92% under LaQshya. tnn
