• Anti-ragging panel formed at MCH

  • Kolkata: An anti-ragging committee has been formed to look into the allegation of ragging against two students of Medical College & Hospital (MCH).

    Earlier this month, PG trainees Bittu Dhar and Johnson Praveen Ambedkar had alleged that they were physically and mentally abused by senior students Souryabrata Ray Mahasay and Diganta Biswas for almost four months since they had joined Unit 1 of the orthopaedic department.One of them had been physically assaulted in front of his parents, making him unconscious.

    The junior doctors of MCH had staged a protest against the incident and demanded action. They had also lodged a complaint with the principal. The accused students had denied the charges. tnn
