• TMC couldn’t keep promise of bringing change: SUCI
    Times of India | 22 January 2024
  • Kolkata: SUCI general secretary Provash Ghosh on Sunday said that Trinamool had not kept its promise of bringing change in Bengal and corruption had gripped the party.

At a rally in Shahid Minar to commemorate the birth centenary of VI Lenin, Ghosh said, “TMC had promised a change in Bengal. Where is that change? Ministers are in jails on corruption charges. Corruption in Bengal, which was behind a veil in the CPM’s regime, has come out in the open now.”

Critical of the BJP, Ghosh said Tulsidas, alive during the founding of Babri Masjid, never spoke of demolition of a temple.“A new Ramayana will be drafted tomorrow. BJP has nothing else to offer to the people of the country,” he said.

Ghosh went on to say: “We wanted Left unity but CPM destroyed its chances. Congress is neither secular nor democratic.”
