  • Kolkata: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has added North Dinajpur to his two-phase Nyay Yatra schedule in Bengal. Gandhi will address at least three public rallies and cover more than nine Lok Sabha constituencies in the state during the yatra.

“Even more significant is Rahul’s stay at Falakata, Alipurduar, for three nights. He will reach Falakata on Jan 25 and will stay there till the morning of Jan 28. He will hold a series of meetings with tea garden workers and address several civil society organisations,” said a state Congress leader.

Gandhi will traverse longest stretches in Siliguri and Jalpaiguri, including a 21-km long ‘padayatra’. He will also address a public rally in Siliguri. The yatra will enter Bihar for a brief while on Jan 29 and enter Bengal again after that. Two public rallies will be organised at Malda’s Chanchal and at a location in Murshidabad.
