  • Kolkata: A high-level meeting was held at Nabanna on Thursday following a security breach in which a car suddenly came in the way of chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s convoy on Wednesday while she was returning from Burdwan. Banerjee said that she received injury on the head.

The security officials were warned and asked to be extra cautious during the movement of such Z-plus VIPs.

Banerjee on Thursday said she had pain in her head, adding that the car, which came in front of her convoy, was speeding at almost 200 kmph while the speed of her car was around 60.

According to her, it’s a close shave as the speeding vehicle could have smashed her car.

“If my driver had not applied brakes, our car could have been crushed. The police are probing it, so I will not say anything now,” Banerjee said.

The chief minister added: “In my political life, I have seen many collisions. So, I am unfazed.”
