French billionaire and founder of luxury goods giant LVMH Bernard Arnault has dethroned Elon Musk to become the richest man in the world, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaires list. Arnault’s and his family’s net worth soared to $207.8 billion, after an increase of $23.6 billion on Friday. Elon Musk is now the world’s second richest man with a net worth of $204.7 billion, followed by Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos with $181.3 billion net worth.Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani, chairman of India’s Reliance Industries (RIL) has taken the 11th position in the world’s richest person’s list with a net worth of $104.4 billion. Whereas, Gautam Adani grabbed the 16th spot with a net worth of $75.7 billion.Sales at LVHM’s fashion and leather goods division – Vuitton and Dior - jumped nine percent during its fourth quarter. The 74-year-old Arnault has established his luxury empire nearly four decades ago carefully promoting his iconic brands Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, and Dom Pérignon.
