KOLKATA: The New Town Kolkata development authority (NKDA) plans to take up maintenance and repair work of four community markets in New Town Action Area I area. The authorities have initiated the process to engage an agency for the job.
The markets that will be repaired are DB block Community market, 1D(DF) and 1B(BB) community market and another market in AA-I. A project cost of around Rs 3.7 lakh have been estimated for the job.
NKDA has also initiated the process to engage an agency to construct a G+2 market complex building close to Uniworld City housing complex in AA IIIC, the first for Action Area III. Presently there are 12 community markets spreading across Action Area I and II.
