  • After a week-long spell of warm weather, the minimum temperature dropped to 14 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

    According to weather department officials, the city’s maximum temperature reached 24 degree Celsius. The weather is most likely to remain dry this week, they added.

    In south Bengal, South 24 Parganas, Purba Medinipur, Howrah, Kolkata and Hooghly are expected to remain dry till next week.

    Purulia, Jhargram, Paschim Medinipur, Bankura, Paschim Bardhman, Purba Bardhman, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Nadia are expected to experience rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places in Purulia, Bankura, Birbhum, Purba Bardhman and Paschim Bardhman.
