Kolkata: KMC mayor and urban development minister Firhad Hakim was admitted to Apollo Multispecialty Hospital on Tuesday. Sources in the hospital said Hakim was doing fine but needed a few investigations. He is likely to be discharged once the tests are done.
Hakim (64) was taken to the hospital in the afternoon with complaints of weakness, fatigue, severe dehydration and headache, following extended exposure to the sun. “He was found with mild electrolyte imbalance. He has been advised bed rest and fluids. He is comfortable and taking light regular meals. Hakim will be discharged after some laboratory and radiology investigations,” said a hospital bulletin.
