An orange alert has been issued for three districts in the state – Nadia, Purba  Bardhman and Bankura.

The weather office has predicted low intensity rain, lightning and thunderstorms accompanied with hail and gusty winds (40-50kmph) at one or two places in these areas.

Meanwhile, Kolkata and its nearby areas are likely to receive light rain till Friday, along with thunder at one or two places, the weather office said on Thursday.
