  • Kolkata: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will allow schools, which haven’t yet conducted the process, to complete registration for class XI students between March 14 and 16 as a final chance.

It has been noticed by the council that a number of schools did not complete the registration of the students, who will appear for the HS exam in 2025. Considering the students’ interests, the council has issued a notice on Monday, stating that the council would open the online portal for filling up of the registration forms.

The heads of the institutions, whose students are appearing for the class XI examination without the registration certificate, have been asked to visit the concerned regional office of the council with the necessary documents and register their students. They will have to explain the cause of the delay and pay additional fines.

“A few schools have failed to comply with this order and this has become a practice every year. Considering students’ interest, we are permitting a final chance for them to submit a declaration for the delay,” an official said.
