KOLKATA: Gold worth Rs 70 lakh was seized at Kolkata airport from two passengers who were returning from Bangkok on Sunday morning. The two were carrying gold ornaments and gold bars weighing around 1.2kg and they were trying to move out of the airport through the green channel.
But the Customs officials suspected their movement, and they were screened, and the gold which they were carrying was spotted. The two were interrogated for a long time. Later they were remanded for further questioning.
