Court allows 12 JU accused’s lawyer to visit crime spot

Kolkata: A lower court has allowed a lawyer representative of all 12 accused in the death of a Jadavpur University student last August to inspect the spot of crime. The court accepted a plea made by the accused in this regard. This exercise will be completed on March 23, said court sources. The members of Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case and Jadavpur police will also be present. The government lawyer has stated that no fresh videography or talking to boarders will be allowed. Meanwhile, special PP Bivas Chatterjee has been roped in to help the prosecution with the electronic evidence in this case. tnn
