Kolkata: The boarders of the Presidency University Girls’ Hostel held a sit-in-demonstration and gheraoed the development officer Kaustav Kanti Nandy on Thursday demanding to resume the bus service from the Salt Lake campus to the College Street campus. During the pandemic it was discontinued.
The protestors demand that by April the university should resume the bus service comprising four buses and they are ready to pay Rs 500 per boarder.
“A letter has been sent recently to the appropriate department regarding this issue,” said a source. TNN
