Bizman saved from being conned after wife files plaint

Kolkata: Ballygunge police rescued a Bhowanipore businessman within three hours and saved him from being conned after his wife lodged a missing diary on Thursday night.
Sarat Bose Road resident, Isha Mehta, had lodged a complaint claiming that her husband, Mihir, couldn’t be contacted for long after he had left home in haste with some documents. The victim had told his wife that he was going to be quizzed by sleuths of Mumbai Crime Branch.
Cops tracked him to a hotel room. He was found doing a video conference with a group of fraudsters, cops said, adding the victim had got a fake call from Fedex. tnn
