  • KOLKATA: West Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose on Saturday commits to actively participate in the upcoming general elections, aiming to eradicate violence and corruption in West Bengal. He plans to be on the ground from day one, starting his day at 6am on polling days.

Bose's focus is on serving the people, with a strong emphasis on tackling violence and corruption. He pledges his full dedication to achieving these objectives, assuring the public of his sincere efforts towards a fair and transparent electoral process.

"I will be in the field right from day one of the election. My two priorities will be to see that no violence and corruption takes place during the election. I will be on the road at 6am before others wake up," Bose said.

He also emphasized his accessibility to the public, stating his intention to operate as a mobile Raj Bhavan and be available to the people.

Bose restated his strong stand against political violence, emphasizing no tolerance for 'political holi with human blood' in Bengal, as seen in last year's panchayat elections.
