• Truth wins a mock race
    Times of India | 17 March 2024
  • Kolkata: The 55EXCH Calcutta St. Leger was a virtual walk over for S. Sreekanth- saddled Truth in the hands of Imran Chisty. Power Racer was at the helm of affairs till the mile marker for the 2800 metres race and once Imran gave the grey his head, it was like a walk in the park with Power Racer some 200 metres behind the winner. B. Mahesh- trained Siege Perilous pulled off a good coup by winning the Governor’s Cup with Vivek G in the saddle. Destroyer was a spent force into the straight when Siege Perilous took over the running but had to survive a strong challenge from Iron Clad who came close to overtake the winner.

The even money favourite Sea Salt Caramel, from the stable of Bharath Singh, was a facile winner of the 55EXCH Cup with Trevor Patel in the saddle. The one for your notebook is Bibury who came from last but one position with a late flourish to occupy the third spot behind the long-time leader Hand Of God.

Another facile winner was Warren Singh-trained Shubankar with P.S. Chouhan astride. The grey hit the front for the mile race and stayed there till the end with Tiger Mountain a tame second.

The two divisions of the 55EXCH Online Gaming App Plate were won by Blinky Bill and Dubai Star respectively.
