Kolkata: The odds on favourite Clifford from the stable of Neil Darashah easily accounted for his rivals by winning the 55EXCH Scratch Lottery Handicap at the RCTC here on Tuesday. Eternal Princess came out fastest from the gates with Clifford in close attendance. Turning for home, S Zervaan alighted the son of Jolie Rue, who just swept past with ease to record a good win.Eternal Princess held on to the second shot ahead of Galaticus, who was never in the hunt.
The change of stables has done a world of good to Dubai Star who completed an encore by winning the Best Odds Handicap in the hands of apprentice Abdul Fazal. Daniel David has done a good job on the son of Woodberg who came with a smooth run to hoist the winning flag with Tiger Shark a good second.
In a closely contested race in the Play And Win Handicap, Dr Anil Kumar-trained Suparakiga came up trumps in the hands of Hindu Singh. Blue Chip called the shots well into the home and then there was a cavalry charge for the winning post with the son of Nasheeta holding on.
The Ball By Ball Handicap was won by Sabeel Shariff-saddled DRD whos was start-to-finish winner with Arman Khan astride. Taking charge from the inside draw, DRD was followed by Xtravagant Star and the rest.
A big punt went down the drain on Perfect Gentleman in the Win Your Luck Cup. It was Javed Khan-nursed Oromelo who delivered with Neeraj Rawal in the saddle. The long-time leader Ganadora took the second spot ahead of Perfect Gentleman.
