Kolkata: The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Innovation Hub for Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, which was established by IIT-Kharagpur, launched MTech course in artificial intelligence through GATE papers like data analytics, computer science, electronics and electrical communication and electrical engineering from this academic season.
According to a press statement issued by IIT-Kharagpur, the MTech course curriculum is divided into four semesters. “The first two semesters are dedicated to building a strong foundation through 10 theory courses, of which four are compulsory. Students can choose six electives from the list of available courses offered by the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and some other departments of IIT Kharagpur. The last two semesters are dedicated to project work and internships,” said the statement.
An official said that with AI being the most sensational domain across all sectors including healthcare, legal, and automobile students are prepared to join the workforce directly or pursue PhD programs for cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with excellent job placement opportunities.
