• Runaya sets up calcium aluminate plant in Jharsuguda

  • Kolkata: Runaya, one of the leaders in sustainable manufacturing and recycling industry, has inaugurated its calcium aluminate plant in Jharsuguda.

    The plant marks a strategic expansion of Runaya’s green aluminium portfolio, introducing the eco-friendly RuCal green calcium aluminate to its steel slag conditioner segment. It will be operated solely on 100% green and renewable energy sources by FY25.Committed to a zero waste and zero-discharge approach, Runaya’s waste-to-wealth initiative focuses on transforming dross into value-added products crucial for steel-making.

    With a current production capacity of 30,000 tonne per annum of slag conditioners, including briquettes and calcium aluminate, the plant addresses the critical issue of dross waste management, preventing its accumulation in landfills.

    The plant features Runaya’s state-of-the-art fully automated electric arc furnace, the largest of its kind in India among calcium aluminate plants.
