Kolkata: The Lake Town Bailey bridge, which is used to enter Salt Lake from VIP Road, was shut from 11 pm on Friday and will reopen 10 days later after the lower deck of the bridge is replaced and the approach roads are revamped.
Cops have chalked out a diversion plan. Vehicles will be asked to use either the Kestopur bridge or the slip bridge from Ultadanga to enter Salt Lake.
