  • KOLKATA: Home minister Amit Shah targeted Tuesday alleged corruption in Bengal, following Calcutta HC’s decision to nullify 25,757 school appointments, and claimed that each job had been sold between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh. He also predicted that BJP would win 30 to 35 of Bengal’s 42 seats in the LS elections.

“During a raid, Rs 51 crore was seized from the house of minister Partha Chatterjee. He is behind bars, but Didi is yet to suspend him from TNC. This cut-money culture in Bengal has to stop. Mamata didi’s govt has turned into the rule of corruption,” Shah said at a rally in Raiganj.

He alleged that Rs 7.75 lakh crore in central funds sent to Bengal had not reached villagers. “Didi allowed atrocities in Sandeshkhali to keep her vote bank safe. If BJP forms govt here, we will straighten Mamata’s goons.”
