Kolkata: Kolkata Police has lodged an FIR at Charu Market PS against a social media user for spreading “disharmony in the society”. The cops have also asked FIR-named accused — X handle user Prabhakar Trivedi@rebellionartis7 — to appear before them on May 9.
The user has been warned that not presenting himself before cops on the due data can even lead to arrest along with other legal action.The case has been drawn up in multiple sections of the IPC pertaining to criminal conspiracy, provocation, provocation to break the public peace and inciting the community. Cops took to X platform to say that “misleading video is being circulated on social media claiming it to be from Bengal. However, the incident happened in Sambalpur in 2023.”
