Kolkata: Cops have imposed traffic curbs on Thursday and Friday to ensure security during PM Narendra Modi’s visit. Goods vehicles will be barred from city roads between 8 am and noon on Friday.
The route from Raj Bhavan (South) Gate to 11 Furlong Gate via RR Avenue, Red Road, and Kidderpore Road will be affected. Heavy goods vehicles will not be allowed near Raj Bhavan till 10 pm.Diversions may be in place on main and connecting roads.
Security and traffic drills kicked in hours before the PM arrived on Thursday. Sources said, two alternate roads are ready keeping in mind the PM’s security.
