Kolkata/Burdwan: Addressing an election rally in East Burdwan’s Raina a day after a Raj Bhavan staffer complained to police that she had been molested by Governor C V Ananada Bose, CM Mamata Banerjee referred to the BJP’s barbs on Sandeshkhali but its silence on the Raj Bhavan incident. “The PM has given sandesh on Sandeshkhali. There was a land issue but I solved it through the administration.But what is he (PM) doing (on the Raj Bhavan allegations)?” she asked, adding: “It is disturbing that the same governor who showed great urgency in reaching Sandeshkhali is now accused of molesting a female staffer.”
The Bengal CM said the governor had called her up on Thursday evening to ask why state finance minister Chandrima Bhattacharya was speaking against him. Bhattacharya was one of the Trinamool seniors who attacked the governor after the Raj Bhavan staffer complained to cops that he had molested her for the second time on Thursday evening (the first occasion, according to her written complaint, was on April 24).
