  • Kolkata: Amid rumours about the release of board results for classes X and XII circulating on various social media platforms, The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has clarified that these notices were fake. The Council said that it would notify once the date for the results is fixed.

A circular, apparently on the Council’s letterhead, has been circulating on social media. It claims that the ISC and ICSE results will be declared on May 4 at 1 pm. This caused confusion and panic among students, as the circular closely resembled official Council notifications. However, the signature on the circular incorrectly identified Sangeeta Bhatia’s designation as chief executive and secretary, whereas she is actually the deputy secretary of the Council.

Bhatia said, “The notice is absolutely fake, and we urge students not to panic over it. We will make a proper announcement after fixing the date of the results. We will issue an advisory shortly.”

Another circular saying results will be declared on May 7 led to a fresh confusion on Saturday.
