• Kid with Asperger’s Syndrome shines in ICSE

  • Kolkata: A student of South City International School, Syed Amaan Hussain, has secured 64.4% in the ICSE exam despite suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome since childhood.

    “I have difficulty in memorizing things so it is beyond my expectation to score such marks. For me, studying and remembering is a difficult task as I could hardly remember my lessons and had to revise multiple times,” he said.Hussain is grateful to his school for their continuous support and help.

    “They provided me with scribes and gave me half an hour extra time for writing exams,” Hussain said. His parents work at IT manufacturing companies. “I’m really happy with my son’s performance but I expected a little more from him. We are thankful to the principal and the entire school for helping him out and giving him continuous support,” said his mother.

    Apart from studies, Hussain is a state-level tennis player and loves photography and Djing, too. “I want to pursue psychology in my Plus-II studies and want to become a sports psychologist,” he added.
