  • CHINSURAH: Local BJP functionaries in Chinsurah were surprised and emotional when they unexpectedly met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Some were brought to tears, while others sought his blessings by kneeling before him. Modi responded to their gestures by greeting them with folded hands and blessing some of them by touching their heads.

    For Saswata Banerjee, a member of BJP's social media cell, state committee, the encounter was akin to a divine experience.Overcome with emotion, he said: "Meeting him felt like encountering a god. It was beyond belief for me. I couldn't contain my emotions and tears flowed freely. His words of encouragement, "Ro mat, achcaha se kaam koro (don't cry, work hard)" will resonate in my ears for the rest of my life."
