• After schools, several Delhi hospitals receive bomb threat calls

  • At least four hospitals in the national capital, including Deepchand Bandhu Hospital, Dada Dev Hospital, Hedgewar Hospital and Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, received bomb threat emails on Tuesday morning.  Dog squad and bomb squad have reached the concerned locations to carry out a thorough search for any potential threats at the premises. Fire engines and ambulances are also on standby. Similar bomb threats were also received at two government hospitals, including Burari Government Hospital, and Mangolpuri’s Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. The police have now started probe into the matter.The incident developed days after Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) and a dozen government hospital received bomb threats via email on May 12. A spate of bomb hoaxes was also reported at nearly 150 schools in Delhi and the adjoining areas recently, that triggered widespread panic among school authorities, parents and students. On May 6, several schools in Ahmedabad also received bomb threats via email.
