Hooghly Lok sabha election 2024 Phase 5: polling date, candidates and more

HOOGHLY: The Election Commission of India (EC) on March 16 announced the dates the voting and result declaration dates for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The polls will be held in 7 phases from April 19 to June 1, covering a total of 543 constituencies.

Parliamentary elections in Hooghly will take place in Phase 5 on May 20, with results declared by June 4.

Candidates
In the Hooghly Lok Sabha Constituency, two notable candidates have emerged for the 2024 elections. Locket Chatterjee , representing Bharatiya Janata Party, and Rachana Banerjee, affiliated with All India Trinamool Congress, are expected to be the frontrunners in the upcoming polls.
