The 2019 Lok Sabha elections, held during Phase 6 on May 12, 2019, witnessed an impressive voter turnout of 85.83% in Kanthi. Similarly, in the 2014 polls conducted during Phase 5 on May 12, 2014, the constituency demonstrated active participation among voters. In the 2019 elections, Adhikari Deepak (Dev) of TMC had a vote share of 48.21% in this seat. In 2014, Adhikari Deepak (Dev) of TMC secured a vote share of 50.17% in this constituency.

In terms of victory margins, the 2019 elections saw Adhikari Sisir of the All India Trinamool Congress securing a resounding victory with a commanding vote share of 50.07%. He defeated his closest competitor, Dr. Debasis Samanta of the Bharatiya Janata Party, by a significant margin of 111,668 votes. Likewise, in 2014, Adhikari Sisir Kumar emerged victorious with a substantial vote share of 53.58%, triumphing over Sinha Tapas of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) by an impressive margin of 246,481 votes.
