BJP has once again nominated Arjun Singh, while the AITC has put forward Partha Bhowmick as their candidate.

In recent years, Barrackpore has experienced a shift in political influence between the AITC and BJP. The high-profile contest in 2019 brought the constituency into the national spotlight, underlining its electoral significance and the fierce political battle it represents.
