Thunderstorm, heavy rainfall lash Kolkata, bring some relief for residents

Thundersquall accompanied by heavy rainfall lashed multiple parts of Kolkata on Thursday evening, bringing some relief for the city dwellers from uncomfortably warm weather. While the MeT Department earlier predicted no chance of rainfall in the capital, sudden change in the weather pattern made some difference. However, the rainfall lasted for only a few minutes.The Alipore Meteorological Office has also predicted thin chances of thunderstorm along with rain is likely in East Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Nadia, East Midnapore and South 24 Parganas today. On the other hand, hot and uncomfortable weather will continue in West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, East-West Burdwan and Birbhum.
