Kolkata: A section of students at Medical College Hospital Kolkata sat in protest on Monday, alleging they were threatened by some teachers of failing them in the examination if they refused to support a political party.
The agitating students squatted in front of the institute principal’s office to demand action against the three professors they have named.
“Instead of discussing our demand for proper hostel facilities, some teachers are threatening us for making the demand. We have been told to work for the political party they are affiliated to or face consequences, like being failed in the examination,” alleged an agitating student.
The college authority has decided to inquire into the allegations.
