• PG course in public policy law at IIT-Kgp

  • Kolkata: IIT-Kharagpur will introduce a two-year post-graduate programme in public policy law and governance from this academic session, given students’ interest and the subject’s demand in the industry.

    “The programme offered by Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law has been designed to empower future leaders with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of contemporary governance.It will prepare students for a career in govt agencies, NGOs, think tanks, private sector and international organizations,” said an official.

    “The two-year programme comprises core courses, focusing on analysis of policy issues and understanding legal implications. There will be elective courses, aligning with students’ interests, skill-building courses, experiential learning and research project,” said a professor.

    Candidates from social sciences, arts, law and engineering background can apply. They will be selected on writing skills, group discussion and interview. “IIT-Kgp will hold an all-India entrance test, the online application of which has started. It will be on till June 30. The test dates are July 9-11 in Delhi, July 15-16 in Kolkata, July 18-20 in Bangalore,” said an official.
