One killed, three hurt in three bike accidents across city

Kolkata: One person was killed and three others injured in two-wheeler accidentss in the city. Around 4.55 am on Sunday, Akash Makhal (18), a resident of Panchasayar, riding a bike without a helmet was killed after he lost control and rammed into a median divider near Mukundapur crossing on EM Bypass. He was rushed to hospital with multiple injuries where he was declared dead.
Around 1.40 am on Sunday, a biker (33) and a pillion rider (34) were injured when the bike lost control and rammed into a light post on Red Road. They were rushed to SSKM Hospital from where they were discharged after treatment. Both of them were not wearing helmets.
Around 1am, a 19-year old resident of Bansdroni was injured after the bike lost control and rammed into a roadside wall on Raja SC Mullick Road. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and was discharged after treatment.
A 38-year-old auto rickshaw driver was injured after being dashed by a private car on NSC Bose Road on Saturday around 10.30pm.
