Kolkata: The fire brigade is likely to submit its report on Tuesday on what had caused the fire at Acropolis mall on Friday. The government authorised electrical audit report has also been completed and is likely to be submitted to the state directorate of electricity on Tuesday.
“We have collected and analysed the scene and are on the verge of preparing the report.It is likely to be tabled on Tuesday,” said Jag Mohan, director general of West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services on Monday. The DG indicated that they had gone through CCTV footage from the mall as well as records of drills and fire system checks conducted by the maintenance team.
Fire department sources confirmed that the fire had not begun due to a short circuit.
Police sources said they are still awaiting reports and complaints from the fire department and FSL. “We have collected some CCTV footage and shared all data collected from the spot,” said a cop.
