Weather body predicts rainfall on Rath Yatra across Bengal

The weather office has predicted rainfall across multiple districts of north and south Bengal on Sunday – Rath Yatra. While northern parts may continue to receive heavy downpours, light to moderate rainfall are expected in southern districts, including Kolkata with no significant change in weather patterns.
According to Alipore Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is forecast for North and South 24 Parganas, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Nadia districts, with only negligible showers in the rest of the districts.
Meanwhile, an alert for very heavy rainfall is in effect for north Bengal’s Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri districts till Sunday.
