Kolkata: The consortium of Ripley & Co and Bothra Shipping Services has submitted the highest revenue share bid for the mechanisation of berth 5 at the Haldia dock complex under a PPP arrangement.
An official stated that the consortium plans to invest over Rs 600 crore to install state-of-the-art mechanised facilities for handling dry bulk cargo, including coal, limestone and manganese ore, among others, at berth 5.“The consortium expects to receive the letter of award from Shyamaprasad Mookerjee Port this month to proceed with the project. The project will likely be operational by the end of 2026,” the official added. tnn
