Babysitter steals 8.5L ornaments from Ballygunge flat

The family became suspicious after Naskar took a leave in the first week of July and called to say she couldn’t come back to work. She even left her belongings. The family searched the rooms and found gold ornaments missing. About 10 days ago, the family lodged a complaint, a police source said.
“In Sonarpur, gold traders said they were approached by a woman who couldn’t produce papers for ornaments she wanted to sell. We arrested Naskar on Wednesday and recovered the loot,” an officer said.
