Kolkata: State environment minister Md Ghulam Rabbani on Friday took a dig at “noisy” BJP legislators by proposing that a noise-monitoring device be installed inside the assembly. Rabbani made the remark amid sloganeering by BJP legislators during the question-and-answer session.
Answering a question, Rabbani said the Bengal Pollution Control Board operates nearly 200 sensor-based continuous monitoring stations across the state.
These stations, along with numerous manual and continuous ambient air quality monitoring stations, include real-time noise monitoring components.
