The actor live-streamed a video on Instagram claiming that the assaulter stopped his bike in front of her car and asked her to get out of the vehicle. When she refused, he smashed a window of her car, causing injuries to her hand, she added.

“He (accused) allegedly shouted at her and broke the glass of the car. She also alleged that the rider of the motorcycle tried to outrage her modesty, threatened her, and used abusive words with intent to outrage her modesty,” said a police official.

The accused has been identified as M I Arasan, 39, a Junior Commissioned Officer, Command Hospital, and booked under Sections 126(1), 74, 79, 324(2), and 351(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He was arrested during the investigation.

Meanwhile, Arasan has also lodged a complaint against the actor for allegedly dashing her car against his motorcycle.
